Shipping Supervisor- TX

Job Details Level: Experienced | Location: Dallas, TX 75247 | Position Type: Full Time | Education Level: 2 Year Degree | Salary Range: $60,000.00 | Shift: Day | Category: Manufacturing Responsibilities Assist shipping manager by identifying work procedures, preparing work schedules and expediting workflow. Issue written and oral instructions. Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers, provide regular written suggestions for process improvement. Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances. Ensure correct shipment of international orders inclusive of appropriate documentation, licensing, product count and product verification. Share the cultural concepts of situational leadership and facilitate the application of the transition to situational leadership. Monitor pickers’ and packers’ productivity. Verify all Pick and Pack lists are signed off correctly, as well as verify the ship method has been applied correctly. Assist employees with work process problems. Consistently update a work instruction/work process manual for all shipping procedures. Manage all employees of the department and is responsible for performance management and will assist with the hiring of the employees within that department. Perform additional tasks as needed/requested. Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, and MUM specific systems (i.e. Global Shop, UPS Worldship, all shipping interface programming). Shipping background is required. Experience in Shipping of industrial products is preferred. Must be able to develop an in-depth knowledge of Global Ship, with knowledge extensive enough to train others, help others solve problems and run reports. Must be able to develop a comprehensive knowledge of our products and processes to be able to communicate and problem solve with freight carriers and internal departments. Capable of meeting or exceeding individual performance measures. Good interpersonal skills and a good phone personality.
