Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Location: Sitka, AK Salary Range: $66,000−$79,000/year Shift: Days, Full-Time Job Overview Join our dedicated pharmacy team where your expertise will directly impact patient care. Inventory Management: Order, stock, and audit medications/supplies; handle recalls/expired drugs. Sterile Compounding: Prepare IV medications, maintain cleanroom compliance, and document hood pressures. Patient Interaction: Triage pharmacy window/phone requests, process refills, and assist with billing inquiries. Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to pharmacy laws, complete controlled substance documentation, and support quality assurance activities. Required Qualifications Licensure: Valid [State] Pharmacy Technician license + National Certification (PTCB). Experience: 5+ years in hospital, retail, or clinic pharmacy. Skills: Sterile compounding & hazardous drug handling. Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., Pyxis, Epic). Strong math and communication skills. Physical Demands: Lift/push up to 30 lbs; stand for extended periods. Preferred Certifications Clinical/High-Risk Competency (or obtain within 3 months of hire).
