Located in the maritime hub of Bellingham, WA, AAM specializes in designing and building advanced, fuel-efficient boats for commercial, research, and passenger transportation.

As a Marine Finish Carpenter, you’ll help deliver clean, durable vessel interiors where fit, finish, and material use matter. This role supports the Interior team by translating drawings and direction into accurate marine-grade assemblies and installations.

- Fabricate, assemble, and install interior components to AAM standards using hand and power tools
- Read and execute from verbal instructions and drawings; plan tools/materials before starting work
- Work safely with shop equipment; maintain an orderly work area and protect surrounding work

Finish Carpenter Level 2: $23.00/hour - $30.00/hour

Finish Carpenter Level 3: $28.00/hour - $35.00/hour

You’ll start by checking in with the Interior supervisor/lead to confirm priorities and review drawings or verbal direction. Before cutting, you’ll map your approach—selecting tools, staging materials, and thinking through how your work interfaces with adjacent trades. The day includes precise layout and high tolerances, cutting to size and shape on shop equipment, and steady progress through planned steps while staying aware of material usage and downstream impacts. You’ll keep your station clean, communicate any issues, and stay alert to others working nearby. Expect 40+ hours per week—typically four 10-hour shifts (Mon–Thu), with overtime as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong understanding of interior standards and procedures
• Proficient at reading and understanding drawings, blueprints, installation instructions.
• Prior experience in all or some of the following: sheet laminate, interior doors, exterior doors, window/shades, flooring carpet/vinyl, custom cabinetry
• Prior experience with Ayres panels is a plus along with marine experience
• Physical ability to work at heights and tight spaces
• Humble attitude
• can precisely measure, cut and install irregular parts and shapes.
• Strong work ethic
• Good communication and relational skills
• Familiarity with laminates, fasteners/attachment methods, and varied construction materials
• Self-starter who can work independently and in a team; positive, improvement-minded, safety focused
• Comfortable lifting/carrying 50 lbs., working at heights, and in confined spaces
