Preschool Cook
Location: The Learning Experience – Canton, MI
Pay: $16–$19 per hour (based on credentials and experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Preschool Cook – Early Childhood Education Center

The Learning Experience – Canton is seeking a dependable and organized Preschool Cook to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children in our early childhood education center. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, values food safety, and takes pride in supporting children's health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers 
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures 
• Monitor food allergies and dietary restrictions to ensure child safety 
• Maintain food inventory and assist with ordering supplies 
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and inspection-ready 
• Communicate menu information and allergy updates with teaching staff 
• Ensure compliance with Michigan licensing and health regulations 

Qualifications

• Food Handler certification required or ability to obtain 
• Childcare or preschool food service experience preferred 
• Strong organization and time management skills 
• Ability to work independently and efficiently 
• Must meet Michigan licensing requirements
