Compliance Specialist

Job Summary The Compliance Specialist – Title IX investigator/trainer – is the primary contact for the institution’s compliance program, ensuring adherence to institutional rules and laws related to Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, and other regulatory requirements. The role includes creating and classifying compliance reports, issuing communications, maintaining manuals and public information, supporting training, and completing administrative paperwork. Job Responsibilities Create and classify compliance reports. Issue communications regarding compliance matters. Assist in the creation and maintenance of manuals and public information. Support training on compliance programs. Complete unit administrative paperwork to support the compliance program. Assist in managing compliance with Title IX and ensure compliant processes for complaints and resolution. Conduct investigations and execute ongoing investigations under the university’s Title IX or Interpersonal Violence and Sexual Misconduct policies. Prioritize Title IX compliance work while also assisting in managing Title VI and Title VII investigations and training. Offer training to campus partners and students, assist in investigations and resolution processes, and ensure students receive relevant accommodations and supportive measures. Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree (J.D., Master’s) preferred. Experience : Direct experience conducting investigations related to policy or legal compliance. No prior experience is required but is considered an advantage. Priority will be given to candidates who include a cover letter articulating their specific interest in this role. Compensation $51,604.80 – $77,396.80 per year.
