Quality- Food Safety Shift Supervisor

A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Quality & Food Safety Shift Supervisor to join its team. This GMP- and SOP-focused organization is committed to maintaining high standards of product quality, food safety, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced production environment. In this role, you will oversee quality and food safety activities during assigned shifts, support and lead Quality Technicians, and work closely with Production and Operations teams to ensure products meet specifications and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include conducting inspections and audits, reviewing quality documentation, monitoring process controls, and supporting investigations and corrective actions when issues arise. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of quality or food safety experience in a manufacturing environment, along with knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and quality systems, and solid leadership skills. Competitive compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities are offered. salary: $58,240 - $62,400 per year shift: Second work hours: 3 PM - 11 PM education: Bachelors Responsibilities Supervise and support Quality Technicians and Inspectors during assigned shifts. Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, preventive controls, allergen management, sanitation programs, and food safety regulations. Monitor production processes to verify adherence to quality standards and product specifications. Conduct routine inspections, audits, and verification activities throughout the facility. Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, food safety concerns, and non-conforming products; implement corrective actions as needed. Review and maintain quality records, production documentation, and compliance reports. Partner with Production, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Operations teams to support efficient and compliant manufacturing processes. Assist with line startups, changeovers, product holds, and process validations. Train employees on quality, food safety, GMP, and sanitation requirements. Analyze quality data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements. Support internal, customer, and third-party audits while maintaining audit readiness. Track key performance indicators related to quality, compliance, defects, complaints, and corrective actions. Promote a culture of food safety, quality ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
