Speech Therapist I

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients by developing effective treatment plans tailored to individual conditions. They measure patient progress, adjust therapies as needed, and educate patients to achieve optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities Include Assessing patients of all age groups and implementing therapy programs for diverse diagnoses. Utilizing knowledge of speech-language pathology theories, procedures, practices, and equipment. Communicating effectively and proactively with patients and team members. Ensuring safety by understanding hazards, precautions, and necessary remedial actions. Documenting progress and modifying treatment plans accordingly. Qualifications And Skills Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders. Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and BLS certification. Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA is required. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Good communication skills, proactive problem-solving attitude, and thorough safety knowledge. Preferred experience: Experience with Video Swallow Studies, Speaking Valve, Voice Prosthesis, and FEES, with less than one year of clinical experience in relevant settings, including fellowship experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association
