Certified Nursing Assistant

Full Time CNA 3x12s - evening shifts with every other weekend and holiday required. NYS Nursing Assistant Certification and a minimum of one year experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting are required. The role involves assisting residents with daily living needs such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care according to their care plan. Maintaining resident safety and environment is essential, including responding to call lights, utilizing safety equipment, preventing falls, and cleaning the unit. Support residents during meal times by delivering trays, assisting with feeding, using adaptive equipment, and honoring food preferences. Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs including range of motion, walking, transfers, proper positioning, and use of aids. Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Measure and document weight, intake, and output. Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge processes of residents. Help meet residents' social and emotional needs through interaction and companionship. Maintain confidentiality and respect residents' rights at all times. Report any resident concerns, changes, or refusals to nursing staff promptly. Complete all required documentation in a timely manner according to protocol. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated in this role, which may lead to contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues. Skills required include NYS Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS (AHA or RQI) with a minimum of one year experience in long-term care or CNA capacity.
