Accountant Position at Buffalo BiodieselBuffalo Biodiesel is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial records, timely month-end close, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.The ideal candidate has strong experience with QuickBooks Online and NetSuite, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys improving processes and solving problems. This role will work closely with the Controller to strengthen the accounting function and support the continued growth of the organization.Responsibilities:Assist the Controller with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processPrepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for Controller reviewMaintain the general ledgerPerform daily and monthly bank, credit card, and financing reconciliationsAssist with inventory, fixed asset, and lease accountingPrepare supporting schedules for financial reporting, tax filings, and annual auditsEnsure accounting records are complete, accurate, and properly documentedIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and efficienciesProvide backup support for other accounting functions as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting5+ years of accounting experienceStrong proficiency with QuickBooks Online and NetSuite (required)Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principlesExperience with account reconciliations and month-end closeExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlinesExperience working in a multi-entity environment (preferred)Experience improving accounting processes and internal controls (preferred)What we are looking for someone who:High level of integrity and attention to detailTakes ownership of their work and follows throughComfortable identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvementsEnjoys solving problems and working independentlyCan balance accuracy with the ability to move quicklyWants to grow professionally with an expanding companyJob Type: Full-timeSchedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pmPay: $75,000 - $85,000/yearWho We Are:Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. has been in business since 2005.
