Heavy Haul Driver

Location: Andover, NY

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview: Our organization is on the lookout for experienced and proficient Heavy Haul Drivers to become part of our team. The perfect candidate will possess a solid background in the safe and efficient transportation of oversized and overweight cargo.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy haul trucks safely to transport oversized and overweight shipments.
• Develop and implement routes that adhere to both state and federal regulations.
• Ensure loads are secured properly for safe transit.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on the truck.
• Keep precise logs and records of cargo, routes taken, and hours worked.
• Engage in effective communication with dispatchers, clients, and fellow team members.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and represent the organization professionally.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in heavy haul transportation.
• Possession of a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with necessary endorsements.
• In-depth understanding of state and federal transportation laws.
• Capability to operate and maintain heavy haul vehicles.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to be away from home for extended durations, including trips exceeding one week.

Preferred Certifications:

• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
• Wind Industry Transportation Professional Advanced Certification (WITPAC)
