About the Role

The Company is in need of an Interim General Counsel with a strong background in legal leadership and strategic advisory. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing practical, solutions-oriented guidance on a wide range of legal matters, balancing legal risk with commercial objectives. This role requires a hands-on generalist who can connect the dots across commercial, product, partnerships, finance, and HR teams. The Interim General Counsel will also be involved in commercial and transactional work, including drafting and negotiating various agreements, and will oversee legal and regulatory compliance across relevant jurisdictions, with a focus on financial services and data privacy. Applicants must have a JD or equivalent, be admitted to the bar in at least one U.S. state, and have a minimum of 10 years' legal experience, including a prior General Counsel, Deputy GC, or senior in-house leadership role. A strong background in B2B fintech, SaaS, or technology-driven businesses is essential, as is experience with complex commercial transactions and global partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of international data protection frameworks, particularly GDPR, and experience with financial services regulatory standards. Familiarity with APAC regulatory environments and experience in loyalty, rewards, or points-based ecosystems is preferred. The role demands a professional who is comfortable managing workflows across multiple time zones and has a proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
