As a Security Officer Screening Monitor in Willington, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, screen people and/or materials, and support daily operations with professionalism and strong communication. This role offers the chance to stay active, remain visible, and provide customer-focused service while contributing to a dependable environment. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or personal belongings at designated access points in accordance with site procedures and reporting guidelines.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorized access, and report suspicious, prohibited, or unusual items and behaviors.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting security-related concerns, access control issues, and/or operational disruptions.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
