Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights, 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:30–08:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting for post-cardiac surgery patients including CABG, valve, and combined CABG/valve procedures
• Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiac diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, atrial fibrillation with RVR, and cardiogenic shock
• Care for vascular surgery patients including peripheral bypasses and EVAR, as well as thoracic surgery patients including VATS
• Participate in every-other-weekend rotation and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Float within specialty, to sister units, and to lower-acuity areas as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 or more years of CVICU and/or open heart experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Ability to float within scope without restrictions
• Permanent address must be 50 or more miles from the facility location

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for post-operative open heart surgery patients in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Familiarity with vascular and thoracic surgical patient populations
• CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version accepted)
