Quality Technician

As a Quality Technician, you’ll work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality to support new and existing products from initial planning through production. Your responsibilities will include: Develop quality documentation and inspection processes for value-added and fabricated parts. Create process inspection sheets and balloon drawings for first-article and in-process inspections. Partner with the New Products Manager to support PPAPs, PFMEAs, process flows, and control plans. Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections to verify products meet specifications. Perform inspections using a portable CMM, including developing CMM programs when needed. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T. Inspect outsourced parts and document/report nonconforming material. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities. Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions across manufacturing processes. Analyze process and quality data using statistical tools to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Assist with rework jobs and disposition of nonconforming products. Review, develop, and revise quality and testing procedures. Verify production processes and finished parts meet established quality standards. Maintain, calibrate, and clean inspection and testing equipment. Help reinforce CTI’s safety and quality standards throughout the operation. #J-18808-Ljbffr Chicago Tube & Iron
