Technology Services Specialist

Anticipated Salary Range: $40,000-$57,000

Salary Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience

The State Corporation Commission seeks a Technology Services Specialist to join the Bureau of Financial Institutions (BFI), whose primary charge is to protect the public interest in Virginia by maintaining a safe, sound, and competitive financial services environment. Reporting to the Information Services Manager, the Technology Services Specialist supports the technology needs of more than 85 BFI employees, playing a critical role ensuring effective and secure operations. This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule, as well as training and professional development opportunities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Administer and support user access for SCC secure file-sharing services and federal regulatory systems
• Collaborate with section management to assess and fulfill hardware and software requirements in support of workload demands
• Serve as the BFI's IT System Coordinator and primary point of contact, follow up on IT support requests, and participate in testing and evaluating new technologies
• Assist staff with inquiries regarding data classification and information security in accordance with SCC IT and Information Security policies
• Serve as the BFI content manager for updates to the SCC website content management system
• Assist in IT asset tracking, procurement, and equipment distribution
• Perform related work as required
