Pay range: $18.00-$23.00 an hour, DOE.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to support our finance team with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized accounts payable files and records.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Generate and distribute customer invoices.
- Apply customer payments and maintain accurate account records.
- Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collection efforts.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies.
- Provide support for month-end closing activities.
General Accounting Duties
- Assist with account reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Enter financial transactions accurately into the accounting system.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Support audits and other accounting projects as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
