MEP Project Manager

Location: Missouri On-site | Field leadership role | Execution ownership A national construction organization delivering its first major mission‑critical facility in Missouri is seeking a MEP Project Leader to take direct ownership of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing execution during active construction. The project is transitioning from structural completion into intensive MEP installation, coordination, and systems integration phases. This role sits at the center of field execution—where design intent becomes installed reality under aggressive sequencing and coordination pressure. Core Responsibility You will own MEP field execution performance , including: On‑site leadership of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection coordination interfaces Installation sequencing and trade coordination across dense multi‑system work zones Subcontractor performance management focused on productivity and schedule adherence Field resolution of clashes, spatial conflicts, and installation constraints Support of commissioning readiness planning and progressive system completion Coordination of RFIs, submittals, and field‑driven technical clarifications impacting install Enforcement of quality standards across all MEP systems installation Daily alignment with project leadership on execution priorities and risk This is not coordination support—it is MEP production leadership in the field . You will be working in a rapidly evolving construction environment where: Multiple trades are mobilizing simultaneously Installation density increases weekly Sequencing discipline determines overall project success Coordination errors have downstream commissioning impact Candidate Profile We are looking for a hands‑on MEP leader with: 8–15+ years in MEP construction delivery roles Strong field‑based experience on large, complex builds Background in data centers, healthcare, industrial, or similar environments Deep understanding of at least one core MEP discipline with broad systems literacy Experience managing subcontractors in fast‑track installation environments Ability to enforce sequencing discipline under schedule pressure Practical understanding of commissioning interfaces and turnover logic Direct, assertive communication style with strong site credibility What Success Looks Like Controlled, sequenced MEP installation across all systems Minimal rework and early resolution of spatial conflicts Predictable progress through rough‑in, fit‑out, and commissioning phases Strong subcontractor productivity discipline Clean transition into commissioning readiness without system disconnects Why This Role Matters This position directly determines whether the project transitions smoothly from structure into fully integrated systems delivery.
