Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching license with a Multicat, Intellectual Disabilities, or Learning Disabilities designation
• Previous experience working with elementary or middle school students in special education settings preferred
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Commitment to providing inclusive, equitable instruction that meets the needs of all learners

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to elementary or middle school students according to IEPs
• Assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies to promote academic and social growth
• Develop and implement classroom management systems that foster a positive and supportive environment
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Maintain thorough, accurate documentation of student progress, attendance, and communication
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
