This rewarding opportunity allows you to work with either elementary students in a self-contained classroom or middle schoolers in a resource classroom setting, providing tailored instruction and support to help every student succeed.

Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching license with Multicategorical, Intellectual Disabilities, or Learning Disabilities certification
• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school-aged students
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A passion for fostering positive learning environments for children with diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that align with student abilities and educational goals
• Deliver engaging instruction to promote academic, social, and emotional growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure students receive comprehensive support
• Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize success
• Create an inclusive, structured, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing communication with staff and families
