Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students by providing occupational therapy support in a supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and extends through Thanksgiving break, with potential for expanded hours or continued part-time work for the full academic year in partnership with a nearby district.
You’ll work 20 hours per week across two school sites, supporting young learners as they develop foundational skills. Your expertise will help shape positive outcomes and foster independence, making a real difference for students and their families.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Hold a current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Wisconsin
- Previous experience working in school settings, ideally with elementary-aged children
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, families, and fellow professionals
- Dedication to supporting diverse student needs and adapting approaches to maximize student success
- Ability to travel between two school locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for elementary students, focused on skill building and functional independence
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate OT goals into classroom activities
- Complete timely documentation, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Employ creative, engaging interventions that support students’ participation in the school environment
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive atmosphere where students can thrive
