Elevate your impact as an Occupational Therapist by supporting young learners in a vibrant educational setting near Milwaukee, WI. This contract role is ideal for professionals eager to provide essential therapeutic services in schools, working closely with elementary students to foster their development and independence.
This opportunity runs from as soon as possible until Thanksgiving break and offers the chance to work approximately 20 hours per week across two elementary school sites. There is potential for a temporary increase to full-time hours through Thanksgiving, as well as the possibility of part-time work in a nearby district extending through the entire academic year.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Wisconsin
- Prior experience or strong interest in a school-based OT setting
- Familiarity with elementary school caseloads preferred
- Ability to manage schedules and travel between two nearby school locations
- Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
- Current knowledge of best practices in pediatric and school-based occupational therapy
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group occupational therapy interventions to elementary students
- Participate in developing and implementing IEPs in collaboration with school teams
- Accurately document therapy sessions, goals, and student progress
- Communicate with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams regarding student needs and goals
- Travel between two assigned school sites as needed
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse needs and learning environments
