In this role, you will file surplus line taxes, reconcile transactions, and assist producers and account managers with tax rates, affidavits, and state filings.Responsibilities:Filing surplus line taxes and review of client balances over 45 days are a conglomerate of legal, accounting, and public relations knowledgeReconciliation of Surplus Lines Tax TransactionsKnowledge of required documents needed for filing and client recordsWork with diverse personalities and build relationships with Producers, Account Managers, State Insurance Regulators, Stamping OfficesAssist Producers and Account Managers - Tax rates, Affidavits, Home State designationSubmit required documents to states to facilitate timely filingsAssist in the development and maintenance of surplus lines processes and proceduresAssist in reading and interpreting state surplus lines related to administrative codeAssist in review of debits and credits over 45 daysQualifications:Two years' work experience in the insurance industry-preferableHigh School diploma is required, Bachelor's degree is preferredPrefer experience with Applied Systems (EPIC)Soft skills (i.e. problem solver, team player, proactive, entrepreneurial)Strong desire to learn and foster a community of complianceKnowledge of methods of compiling, organizing and analyzing dataAbility to understand and apply rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresAbility to plan, organize and coordinate work activities independentlyExcellent communication, interpersonal skills and positive attitudeVery strong detail skillsHUB International Limited is an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of race/ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or veteran's status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state or federal laws, rules or regulations.E-Verify ProgramWe endeavor to make this website accessible to any and all users.
