Ergomet Inc Precision Sheet Metal Mfg Co is looking for a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team in Ward Hill, MA. This is a great opportunity to bring your metalworking expertise to a precision-focused manufacturer where quality craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components to specification
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate part production
- Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and back gauges for each job
- Perform in-process quality checks using calipers, protractors, and other measuring instruments
- Maintain tight tolerances and adhere to precision sheet metal fabrication standards
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report any equipment issues promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with shop safety protocols
- Prior experience operating a press brake in a sheet metal or metal fabrication environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as calipers and angle finders
- Knowledge of tooling setup, die selection, and back gauge programming
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise parts
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines in a fast-paced shop environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive work ethic
