HVAC Service & Installation Technician – High-End Residential Estate Care

Location: Paoli, PA

Position Overview

This is not your typical HVAC service job.

Spire Builders’ Estate Care division works with a selective group of high-end residential clients throughout the Main Line and Greater Philadelphia region. These are architecturally significant luxury homes with complex systems, high expectations, and long-term client relationships.

Our clients expect white-glove service, proactive problem-solving, clean work, discretion, and consistency. The right technician will be trusted inside exceptional private homes and must be comfortable communicating professionally, documenting work clearly, and protecting finished spaces.

This role requires a technician who is strong in both  service and installation . You will perform diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and full system replacements with a focus on quality, long-term performance, and client trust.

You will have the autonomy to help shape your service schedule, the support of a strong internal team, and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with clients who value expertise and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform service, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on major residential HVAC systems
• Install full replacement HVAC systems and equipment changeouts at end-of-life
• Work on forced air systems, geothermal systems, boilers, radiant systems, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-splits, and related equipment
• Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot geothermal systems
• Service a variety of high-end residential equipment brands, including Carrier, Lennox, Mitsubishi, Trane, Bosch, and similar systems
• Proactively identify potential issues before they become larger problems
• Provide clear recommendations to Estate Care leadership and clients when needed
• Document service visits, system conditions, photos, recommendations, and time entries using Buildertrend
• Maintain clean, protected, and professional work areas inside finished luxury homes
• Coordinate with Spire Builders’ leadership, Estate Care management, field staff, and trade partners to ensure seamless service delivery
• Participate in occasional after-hours or emergency service response as needed. Emergency volume is limited due to our focused client list, but clients expect timely support when urgent issues arise
• Maintain tools, materials, and company vehicle in clean, organized condition
• Represent Spire Builders with professionalism, discretion, and accountability

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on residential HVAC experience preferred
• Strong service, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to install full residential HVAC replacement systems
• Geothermal experience required or strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of boilers and radiant heating systems highly valued
• EPA 608 Certification required
• Experience working in high-end residential homes preferred
• Clean driving record and valid PA driver’s license
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and accountability
• Strong communication skills with clients, team members, and leadership
• Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
• Comfortable using software for scheduling, photos, notes, documentation, and time tracking
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Schedule

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday during normal business hours, with occasional after-hours or emergency response required for urgent Estate Care client needs. This is not a high-volume emergency service route, but responsiveness is important when our clients have urgent issues.
