Vice President, Business Affairs (Disney Entertainment Television)

Job Summary:The Business Affairs team is seeking a Vice President of Business Affairs to join the team in Burbank, CA, reporting to the Head of Business Affairs for Disney Entertainment Television. This newly established role will be responsible for defining and leading Business Affairs strategy for creator-driven content, overseeing the structuring, negotiation, and management of deals with digital creators, talent, and production partners supporting Disney’s direct-to-consumer platforms. The Vice President will play a critical role in building scalable deal frameworks, establishing best practices, and shaping Disney’s approach to the creator economy, enabling growth across digital, social, and emerging content models. This executive will serve as a strategic partner to Content, Platform, and Studio leadership, bringing deep expertise in creator-focused dealmaking and market dynamics.Key Responsibilities:Lead the negotiation of complex agreements with creators, talent, influencers, production companies, and digital media partnersDefine and implement scalable deal frameworks, templates, and playbooks tailored to the creator economyStructure innovative deal models across formats (short-form, long-form, and emerging formats)Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on trends, risks, and opportunities within the creator ecosystemPartner closely with Content, DTC platforms, and Strategy teams to enable new creator-led business modelsCollaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Production, Marketing, and Strategy to drive alignment and executionHelp establish and evolve new Business Affairs capabilities and operating models supporting creator initiativesBuild and maintain strong external relationships across the creator and digital media landscapeRequired Qualifications:6+ years of experience in business affairs, legal, or complex dealmaking, including significant experience in digital media and/or direct-to-consumer platformsDeep expertise negotiating talent, production, and/or licensing agreementsDemonstrated experience working within the creator economy, including digital creators, influencers, and emerging media business modelsProven ability to lead high-value, complex negotiations and influence senior stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications:JD strongly preferred, with bar membership in California or New YorkExperience building or scaling new deal frameworks or business models in evolving content ecosystemsThe hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $236,000 to $316,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
