Cardinal Staffing is interviewing for welder/modular assembly workers for a manufacturing facility in Fenton, MI. We're looking for candidates who are skilled builders and good with hands-on projects that require the use of power tools and hand tools. An ideal candidate will be reliable with a good work history.

Pay: $19.30/HR | Monday-Sunday, M-F 6am-4:30pm, overtime Sat & Sun 6am-2:30pm

Job Description:

• Assemble walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, plastics, drywall and composites of multiple materials.
• Measure and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from Supervisor.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Use various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
• Ensure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as tape measures, levels, framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
• Fit and install windows and doors.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Handling, cutting, welding, and assembling materials (steel, stainless, aluminum) for our custom products.
• Ensuring that all products are fabricated, welded, and installed according to our engineered drawings.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
• Assist with the lay out, positioning, alignment, and securing of parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of related experience preferred
• HS Diploma/ GED
• Exceptional mechanical and technical skills.
• Ability to read measuring tape (Test Required)
• Uses mechanical skills to build industrial equipment.
• Ability to frequently walk, stand for extended periods (8-10 hours a day), balance, stoop, crouch, kneel, push, pull, twist, turn, and lift while performing functions of the position.
• Comfortable with cleaning and quality control
• Comfortable with climbing ladders as needed.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
