Data Scientist

Salary: $85,000 - 125,000 per year Requirements:

• We require an active and maintained Secret Federal or DoD security clearance.
• We require a bachelors degree.
• We require three or more years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or applied statistical modeling.
• We require experience using Python, R, and SQL for data analysis, modeling, and data manipulation.
• We require experience applying machine learning methods and statistical techniques to real-world datasets.
• We require experience working with large, complex datasets in logistics, maintenance, supply chain, or readiness environments.
• We require experience creating visualizations and dashboards with Qlik or similar tools.
• We require experience working in cloud or big data environments such as Databricks or comparable platforms.
• We require experience in Agile or iterative delivery settings.
• We require experience supporting government or defense clients, with Navy experience preferred.
• We require the ability to work onsite in a client environment as needed.
• Nice to have: familiarity with deploying models or embedding analytics into operational workflows.
• Nice to have: a strong foundation in statistics, mathematics, or quantitative analysis, such as regression, hypothesis testing, or time series analysis.
• Nice to have: experience with statistical modeling and machine learning.
• Nice to have: the ability to turn complex analytical outputs into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Nice to have: experience with data platforms such as Palantir Foundry or similar environments.
• Nice to have: data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Nice to have: programming experience in Python, R, and SQL.
• Nice to have: data visualization experience with Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.

• We develop, implement, and validate statistical models and analytical methods to support client mission objectives.
• We conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies in large, complex datasets.
• We design and deploy predictive and prescriptive models to support data-driven decisions.
• We apply advanced analytics to Navy-related areas including logistics, maintenance, and operational readiness.
• We work with data engineers, developers, and stakeholders to operationalize models in production environments.
• We translate business questions into analytical approaches and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We build and maintain reusable analytical frameworks, code libraries, and model pipelines.
• We apply machine learning techniques to classification, regression, clustering, and optimization challenges.
• We develop dashboards and visualizations, including Qlik applications, to communicate insights and model results effectively.
• We perform model validation, tuning, and performance monitoring to maintain accuracy and reliability.
• We document methods, assumptions, and results to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
