Certified Medication Aide (CMA) – Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our skilled nursing and long-term care team. The CMA will assist in providing quality resident care by administering medications, supporting daily living needs, and working collaboratively with the nursing team to promote resident safety, comfort, and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications to residents according to physician orders, care plans, and facility policies under the supervision of licensed nursing professionals

• Monitor residents’ responses to medications and promptly report adverse reactions, changes in condition, or concerns to licensed nursing staff

• Provide resident care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility support

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of medications administered and resident care provided

• Assist nursing staff with resident needs and promote a positive, respectful care environment

• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized resident care plans

• Observe and report changes in resident condition to ensure appropriate care interventions

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors

• Follow infection prevention, safety, and facility standards of care

Requirements:

• Must be certified as a Medication Aide by the State of Oklahoma

• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or geriatric care preferred

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to provide compassionate, resident-centered care

• Ability to assist with resident transfers, repositioning, and activities of daily living as needed
