Principal Data Engineer

Owning the data architecture strategy, the full-time Principal Data Engineer will design and implement a scalable data platform for both machine and human users, focusing on enhancing query engines and semantic layers in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of data architecture, ensuring it meets the needs of both internal and external users Choose and advocate for the technology stack, including query engines and data ingestion methods Collaborate with product and leadership teams to drive data-related decisions based on evidence and trade-offs Required qualifications Proven experience leading data architecture at scale with a strong decision-making track record In-depth knowledge of modern data stacks, including semantic layers, query engines, and analytical stores Experience with agentic AI and its data consumption needs Familiarity with development tools or CI/CD environments, particularly in monolithic product settings Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a remote setting
