OB/GYN Hospitalist (Per Diem)

Per Diem Ob/Gyn Hospitalists Needed in Athens, Ohio - Apply Today! A successful OB hospitalist program should be a collaboration among your hospital's staff and affiliated obstetricians, family practice physicians and sub-specialists. Our experienced, board-eligible or board-certified OB Hospitalists provide OB triage, admissions inpatient care, and delivery for hospitalized patients. This cost-effective, cohesive approach improves clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• 24 hour shifts. Flexible scheduling to create work life balance for you
• Collaboration with community OBs in a highly supportive and cohesive group
• Best practices ensurecontinuity, quality and safety
• Real-time communication with office physicians of triage visits, new issues, and deliveries
• Improved outcomes, enhanced experience, reduced costs
• Multidisciplinary OB critical care.
• 24-hour in house coverage for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
• Management of OB/GYN emergency-department patients.

Location

Athens, Ohio is located in the Eastern part of the state, flanking Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh is just over the state line) and Northern West Virginia. Less than 2 hours East of Columbus, Ohio and 2 hours South of Cleveland, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Must be Board Certified OGYN
• Must have a minimum of 1 year recent clinical experience
• Prefer active Ohio license or ability to obtain via IMLC compact
• Pediatrix does provide assistance in obtaining state Medical License and DEA, if needed

Compensation and Travel

Pediatrix covers travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice. We also cover your malpractice insurance for this W-2 per diem position.
