Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in the specialty
Description: The Emergency Department consists of a Main ED, Fast Track, and an Observation Unit. All ED nurses are expected to rotate through various areas regularly. Nurses may be assigned to Triage, Quick Registration, Covid Tent, and Entry Screening. Nurses can expect to be assigned to different areas at least daily and may be rotated during their shift based on patient volume and unit needs. They may also assist with Covid testing and immunization clinics as needed. Shifts are typically scheduled for night shift with the potential for changes during the contract. Coverage of day shifts may be required to accommodate staffing needs. The schedule is generally 7 days on followed by 7 days off, with hours varying between 36 and 48 hours biweekly. Travelers may occasionally float to other departments where they are qualified. Duties may include taking a patient load or engaging in task-oriented activities, such as answering call lights and phones.
