RN Emergency Department

Job Summary: The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) provides skilled nursing care to patients in a Level III Trauma Hospital emergency setting. This role involves planning and delivering nursing care in a fast-paced environment, specifically within a 13-bed Emergency Department including trauma bays. The ED RN collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure timely and effective patient treatment. This is a PRN night shift position requiring a minimum of 3 years of emergency nursing experience. Responsibilities: Assess and monitor patients presenting to the Emergency Department. Plan and provide direct nursing care to emergency patients, including trauma cases. Administer medications and treatments as ordered. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care. Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide critical interventions. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and trauma protocols. Required Skills & Certifications: Current Colorado Registered Nurse license or eligibility to obtain. Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in an Emergency Department setting. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Current Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification. Strong clinical assessment and emergency nursing skills. Preferred Skills & Certifications: Experience working in a Level III Trauma Center. Advanced skills in trauma nursing and emergency interventions. Special Considerations: Position is PRN (as needed) with night shift hours. Work environment includes trauma bays and a fast-paced emergency setting. Must be able to respond effectively in high-stress, urgent care situations. Scheduling: Night shift schedule on an as-needed (PRN) basis.
