Job Summary

Join a dedicated team at a Level III Trauma Hospital located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This facility features a 13-bed Emergency Department, including two state-of-the-art trauma bays, providing critical care to the Western Slope community.

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive nursing care for patients presenting with a wide range of emergent conditions. This role requires a commitment to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Manage and prioritize care for patients across various acuity levels, from minor injuries to critical trauma cases.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and operate medical equipment safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse experience.
