Veterinary Technician Supervisor
VCA Findlay Animal Care Center is a full-service veterinary hospital serving pet owners in Findlay, Ohio, and surrounding communities. Our team combines advanced veterinary medicine with genuine, hometown service to help pets live long, healthy lives. We're seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our leadership team as Technician Supervisor. This role suits someone who loves mentoring others and staying hands-on with patient care, while helping lead daily hospital operations.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Veterinary Technicians and Assistants
- Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and development
- Support scheduling and staffing to keep hospital operations running smoothly
- Provide ongoing feedback and performance coaching
- Serve as a clinical resource and role model for the nursing team
Clinical Responsibilities
- Assist with surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and recovery
- Perform dental prophylaxis, charting, and dental radiographs
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Collect lab samples and perform in-house diagnostics
- Monitor hospitalized patients and provide high-quality nursing care
- Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital safety/quality protocols
- Support clear, compassionate client communication and education
Operational Excellence
- Partner with leadership to improve workflow efficiency and patient care standards
- Help manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance
- Support rollout of hospital initiatives, training programs, and best practices
What We're Looking For
- Registered Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, LVMT, RVT)
- Strong clinical skills in anesthesia, dentistry, patient nursing, and diagnostics
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead by example and inspire team engagement
