Activities Director (Skilled Nursing)
We are looking for a creative, high-energy leader to redefine what "activities" look like in a skilled nursing environment. This isn’t about just filling a calendar; it’s about being the architect of joy and social connection for residents who deserve a vibrant, meaningful daily life. We are representing a premier skilled nursing facility in the District of Columbia that views social wellness as a critical pillar of clinical care.
You will lead a team dedicated to transforming the resident experience, moving beyond standard routines to create personalized engagement that honors each resident’s history and interests. You will have the autonomy to bring fresh ideas to a clinical setting that truly values your contribution. Your leadership will be the heartbeat of the community, fostering an environment where residents, families, and staff feel connected and inspired.
You must hold a current license or certification to practice as an Activities Professional in the District of Columbia (or meet the specific DC Health requirements for a Skilled Nursing Activities Director). We are looking for someone with a proven track record in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting who understands the balance between regulatory compliance and creative programming. You should be a "people person" with the organizational grit to manage a department budget, lead a team of assistants, and advocate for the social needs of every resident.
