Mortgage Loan Servicer

The Mortgage Loan Servicer reports to the Mortgage Loan Servicing Manager. Essential duties include reviewing loan documents and initiating funding for loan closing, performing booking of all new loans and creating new loan files, monitoring escrow accounts and initiating timely follow-up with agents and/or tax collectors, making insurance premiums and real estate tax payments from escrow accounts, performing annual escrow analysis and mailing statements and surplus refund checks, monitoring delinquent loans and preparing appropriate notices including demand letters, monitoring and recording withdrawn and declined loans, processing paid off loans by preparing all necessary documents for recordation of Satisfaction of Deed and overpayment refund checks if any, mailing mortgage payment due notices and processing payments, scanning loan documents including HUD, Note, Deed of Trust, Satisfaction of Deed, Title Policy, etc., reviewing and paying state required recording fees and vendor fees, preparing mortgage loan pipeline and board meeting reports, performing other mortgage servicing activities to include, but not be limited to, account research, payment adjustments and various loan maintenance needs, performing all duties in compliance with BSA/AML regulations and requirements, obtaining adequate data for CIP on all wire and money instrument transactions, monitoring and reporting suspicious activity to the BSA Officer.

Education/Additional Training or Certifications include an Associates degree with an Accounting Major or equivalent work experience. Knowledge/Experience includes software skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe, Internet, and Email.

The work environment is moderate with noise level usually moderate. Physical demands include sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear, standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
