Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an impact in the lives of students with significant disabilities by supporting their growth and learning as a Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract position. This opportunity is perfect for educators with a passion for providing individualized instruction in a supportive, in-person environment. There are two available roles—one at the elementary level and one at the secondary level—each serving a small, manageable caseload of approximately 10 students.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid low-incidence Special Education licensure (required prior to submission)
- Experience working with students with significant disabilities
- Ability to tailor lesson plans and instruction to meet individual needs
- Commitment to in-person instruction (no virtual options available)
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary instructor for students with significant disabilities, either at the elementary or secondary level
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate student needs and maximize learning outcomes
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service staff, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Participate actively in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
Assignment Details:
- Full-time schedule: 35-40 hours per week
- Contract dates: August 11, 2026 – May 19, 2027
- Positions available at both the elementary and secondary levels
