Job Summary
The Medical Surgical Nursing (MS) specialty position is located in Decatur, Illinois. This role involves providing comprehensive care on a medical-surgical floor within an acute care hospital setting. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of patient diagnoses and utilizing advanced skills to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications required include BLS. Must have an active Illinois license or be in the application process with an ETA for approval. No minimum experience specified but a minimum of 2 years' experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Telemetry and remote monitoring experience, GI and renal case skills, IV therapy and phlebotomy skills, medication administration including Heparin and Insulin, respiratory management, and proficiency in Cerner charting system.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within scope to meet department needs.
• Additional Information: The role involves managing complex patient cases such as GI bleed, sepsis, infections, amputations, and trauma. Candidates will be expected to adhere to hospital protocols including isolation precautions and wound care. Compliance documentation, including lab appointments, Docusign, and badge photo, must be completed within 1 week of contract signing. Orientation is conducted virtually on Day 1, with all module requirements completed by 4:00 PM CST.
