FOOD SERVICES MANAGER

Food Services Manager Location: Tilton, NH Salary: $25.40 - $34.14 hourly Summary Plans, develops, and manages all dietary services procedures for the New Hampshire Veterans Home, ensuring compliance with regulatory state and federal standards, and coordinating with agency staff and external stakeholders to integrate the food service program into agency activities and special events. Qualifications Equivalent combination of 5 years of education and experience after high school in Business Management, Food Service Management, or Culinary Arts with experience in institutional food management including supervisory responsibilities. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) from the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals. ServSafe certification and Certified Food Protection Professional. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business management, food service management, culinary arts, or a related field. Four years’ experience in institutional food service and three years of supervisory experience in any occupational area. Responsibilities Supervise food service and dietary staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and motivation. Schedule staffing for daily needs, including service to ten resident dining areas and special events. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring proper storage, equipment repair, and meal preparation under ServSafe guidelines. Order food, supplies, and equipment to provide resident meals and events while maintaining inventory levels. Manage the dietary budget, ensuring purchases remain within allocated limits and preparing expenditure reports for administrators. Coordinate with Recreation Department staff and external stakeholders for resident and agency functions. Evaluate and improve the food service product and delivery system, updating policies and procedures to reflect best practices. Plan menus with staff and resident input to meet nutritional needs. Address resident concerns and collaborate with nursing staff and social workers to resolve dietary complaints. Participate in the Leadership Team and agency committees such as the Safety Committee and the resident/employee food committee.
