Tool & Die Maker / Toolmaker$28+/hr | 1st & 2nd Shift | Plastic ManufacturerPosition SummaryA leading plastics manufacturing facility in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker / Toolmaker to fabricate, maintain, and repair precision tooling, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures that support production operations. This role works from blueprints, CAD files, and engineering specifications to ensure tooling meets tight tolerances and quality standards.Shift & PayPay: $28+/hr (based on experience)Shifts Available:- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PMKey ResponsibilitiesTooling Fabrication & RepairBuild, repair, and modify dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures from engineering drawingsOperate precision machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM equipmentInspect finished tooling to ensure accuracy and compliance with specificationsPreventive MaintenancePerform routine maintenance on existing tooling to extend life and performanceDocument repairs, adjustments, and maintenance activitiesCollaborationPartner with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to troubleshoot tooling issuesProvide input on design improvements and manufacturabilityQuality & SafetyFollow all safety policies and manufacturing proceduresMaintain a clean, organized work area using 5S standardsEnsure all tooling meets quality expectations and production requirementsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or apprenticeship preferred3+ years of tool and die or mold-making experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical documentsExperience with manual and CNC machine toolsStrong understanding of materials, machining processes, and heat treatmentExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsPersonal AttributesHigh attention to detail and strong craftsmanshipDependable with a strong work ethicAbility to work independently and in a team environmentFocused on quality and continuous improvementPhysical RequirementsStanding for long periods of timeOperating industrial machineryAbility to lift up to 50 lbsRequired PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwearEqual Opportunity EmployerThis employer provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants.
