Senior/Principal Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry
Nurix Therapeutics
Nurix Therapeutics seeks a Senior/Principal Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry with a Ph.D. and 8-10+ years of pharmaceutical experience. The role focuses on designing and synthesizing degrader-based small molecules, collaborating across interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to process improvements and scientific publications.
Responsibilities
- Design and synthesize novel chemical entities optimized for potency, selectivity, and pharmacokinetics
- Engage in structure-based drug discovery with computational and structural biology partners
- Collaborate with internal and external scientists on multi-disciplinary discovery programs
- Contribute to patent applications, technical reports, and scientific publications
- Lead process improvements within chemistry or cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry
- 8-10+ years pharmaceutical medicinal chemistry industrial experience
- Track record of delivering advanced leads and development candidates
- Deep knowledge of medicinal chemistry, ADME, SAR, and pharmacology integration
- Expertise in protein-ligand interactions and structural analysis
- Proficiency with computational chemistry tools and visualization software
- Strong organic synthesis skills and synthetic problem-solving ability
