Safety Ambassador Location: Greater Bay Area, CA Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour Job Type: Part-time, NON-EXEMPT Schedule: Open availability required (including weekends and holidays) Industry: Security / Public Safety About the Role Diligence Security Group is seeking energetic, approachable, and service-oriented individuals to join our team as Safety Ambassadors. In this high-visibility position, you will serve as a welcoming presence in public areas, providing safety support and positive engagement with visitors, residents, and local businesses. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about public interaction and have strong communication and de-escalation skills. Key Responsibilities Serve as a visible and friendly safety presence in assigned zones Greet and assist the public, offering directions or general support Report safety concerns, suspicious activity, or maintenance needs Help de-escalate minor incidents or disturbances using verbal techniques Liaise with dispatch and supervisory staff as needed Complete reports and document field activities thoroughly and accurately Required Qualifications Valid BSIS Guard Card (Required) Valid CPR Certification (Required) Valid Driver's License (Required) Open availability (weekdays, weekends, holidays) Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Clear written and verbal communication Professional appearance and conduct Strong technology skills 10 to 15 years Experience Education and Background High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED) Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (PREFERRED) Prior customer service, hospitality, or community engagement experience preferred Preferred Qualifications Certification in De-escalation Techniques Active Shooter Preparedness Training Experience working in high-traffic public spaces or with diverse populations What We Offer Weekly payroll Medical, dental, and vision benefits for eligible employees Flexible part-time scheduling Equal opportunity and inclusive workplace culture Additional Requirements Must pass a criminal background check Physical ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs and work in outdoor environments Reasonable accommodations provided for qualified applicants with disabilities Application Process All candidates must pass a criminal background check.
