Urgent Care Physician (MD / DO)

Urgent Care Physician - Solomons, MD Sign-on Bonus available. Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries. Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up. Perform minor office procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, orthopedic splinting, and related treatments. Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual examinations. Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries. Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, and blood-borne pathogens. Work confidently with best medical practices and maintain detail orientation. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Utilize common PC applications, Microsoft Office, and EMR applications. Respect autonomy in decision-making and collaborate with a team-based approach to patient care. Hold ACLS / BLS certifications (will be provided if needed). Qualifications Doctorate (MD/DO) with a Maryland medical license and DEA certification. ABMS Board certification in emergency medicine, internal medicine, or family medicine (or intent to become board certified within 1 year of onboarding if board eligible). Benefits Sign-on Bonus. Fifteen shifts per month with focused, flexible schedules set three months in advance. No on-call and limited weekends. Clinics closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day, and Easter; early closing on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and 4th of July.
