Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager supports store operations by assisting with supervision, merchandise management, and customer service to ensure a clean, organized store focused on customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service, greet customers, operate cash register, and assist with checkout. Help with employee scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance. Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, display setup, and inventory control. Assist in maintaining financial accuracy through cash handling, refunds, overrides, and bank deposits. Support store management in their absence and ensure adherence to security and safety procedures. Qualifications & Skills Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to interpret documents, perform basic math, and handle cash register functions. Knowledge of cash handling, security policies, and store operations. High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience and supervisory skills preferred. Working Conditions Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.
