We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator t o join the team with GCS , a teammate company! Responsibilities: Coordinate with different locations and people to process shipments through the approved flows. Perform duties in order to expedite the flow of material and parts. Ensures supplies and inventory are ordered, received, replenished, and kept at appropriate levels. Participates in new and standard part number creation. Monitors inventory levels to ensure consistency with forecasted demand and inventory goals for common stock items. Participates in the disposition of non-conforming material. Arranges for reservation and transfer of materials to meet production schedules. Requisition Qualifications: _This position has been posted at multiple levels.Depending on the candidate’s experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised._ Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent At least 3 years of experience as a Deployment/Logistics Coordinator or an Administrative Assistant Working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines Requisition Preferences: Bachelor’s degree or business school training Why Join Our Team? Essential Functions Work Environment Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time). Equipment and Machines Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.). Attendance Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
