About the Role
The Company is seeking an AVP for Mortgage Construction Lending. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction-to-permanent lending teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and managing the loan lifecycle from processing to post-closing. This role involves providing leadership, setting goals, and supporting the development of real estate lending staff to maintain high member service standards. The AVP will also be involved in the builder approval process, managing file flow, and maintaining a strong focus on the member experience by implementing process improvements. Essential responsibilities include team management, training, and maintaining a current knowledge of mortgage products, laws, and regulations. Candidates for the AVP position must have a High School Diploma, with a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred. A minimum of 6 years' experience in the mortgage industry, including 3 years in a management role and 2 years in construction-to-permanent lending, is required. The role demands excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interface effectively with members, realtors, builders, and potential clients. The AVP should be self-disciplined, goal-oriented, and have a strong attention to detail. The position also requires the ability to make sound judgments, handle multiple priorities, and ensure the team is in compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
