Overview The Assistant Fitness Manager (Personal Training Sales) is a sales‑driven leadership role focused on welcoming new members, guiding them through initial fitness experiences, and driving personal training package sales. Reporting to the Fitness Manager, you will help build a cohesive PT team, maintain a healthy client pipeline, and ensure exceptional member service. Position Purpose Build a cohesive Personal Training (PT) team, ensure a healthy pipeline of clients, and provide an outstanding fitness experience for members. Responsibilities Ensure daily sales targets are met, especially during weekends or in the absence of the Fitness Manager. Promote personal training packages and build strong rapport with members. Achieve and exceed sales targets for personal training services and small group training. Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding and smooth transition into the club. Conduct personalized welcome workouts for new members to assess fitness needs and goals. Guide new members through the initial club experience to foster retention and engagement. Facilitate professional development for personal trainers through regular coaching. Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff, ensuring clarity of roles. Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain necessary certifications, and implement safety protocols. Qualifications 2–3 years of customer service experience. 1 year of sales experience. 1 year of supervisory experience. Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry. Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with members, clients, staff, management, and vendors. Excellent relationship‑building and influencing skills at all levels. Strong detail orientation, systematic problem‑solving ability, and time‑management skills. Excellent MS Office skills. Alignment with our Core Values. Requirements Availability to work nights and weekends. Successful background check. Valid Personal Training certification. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire. Ability to work in a gym setting and move around gym floors and rooms. Ability to lift more than 40 lbs and bend routinely and repetitively. Proficiency with the company computer system for documentation and data entry.
