Search Engine Optimization Specialist

Dunham’s Sports, a regional full-line sporting goods retailer headquartered in Troy, MI, has an immediate opening for a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist. This is a full-time position that works out of our headquarters in Troy, MI. (Not remote or hybrid) The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Analyst will work as part of the marketing team, identifying and implementing search engine optimization efforts to drive more visits to our website through keyword searches and organic search engine traffic. Oversee the strategy and execution for SEO on This includes, but is not limited to: Identify and implement SEO efforts resulting in popular & seasonal organic keyword searches funneling incremental visits to the Dunham’s website Identify and make recommendations to further optimize key pages, including homepage, category pages, product pages, vendor pages, content pages, local store pages, etc. Execute (within the website backend platform) on SEO, including site structure, metadata, page structure, canonical links, backlinks, sitemap, and internal link structure Strong understanding of metadata and its direct impact on a website Measure impact and provide next-step roadmap (ongoing) Be aware of current SEO trends and algorithm changes, and how that impacts SEO results. Agentic search knowledge is crucial. Oversee the strategy and execution for SEM This includes keyword strategy, monthly budget recommendations, paid ad verbiage/images/coupons Measure impact and provide next-step roadmap (ongoing) Work with existing SEM partner for SEM task prioritization and recommended strategies (monthly meetings) Coupon creation and tracking of sales for SEO & SEM related campaigns Understand the dual relationship re: SEO & SEM and how one channel influences the other. SEO & SEM experience a must (minimum three years; retail experience a plus) Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic HTML and website coding skills a strong plus Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant area required Must have at least three years of SEO & SEM experience Benefits Include: Health, dental, and prescription coverage #J-18808-Ljbffr
