Atlantic City, NJ, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 1034 Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $100,000.00 Annually Position Summary The Electrician performs skilled electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection work throughout the Authority's residential and administrative facilities. The position ensures that electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment. Diagnose electrical failures and implement corrective actions. Repair and replace wiring, outlets, switches, breakers, lighting fixtures, motors, control panels, and related equipment. Maintain emergency lighting systems and backup power systems. Inspect electrical infrastructure and identify potential safety hazards. Assist with modernization and capital improvement projects. Review plans, blueprints, and electrical schematics. Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and local requirements. Respond to emergency electrical outages and service interruptions. Coordinate with contractors and vendors performing electrical work. Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program. Must have current New Jersey Electrical License. Five (5) years of progressively responsible electrical experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience in public housing, healthcare, educational, municipal, or multi-family residential facilities. Experience with generators, fire alarm systems, and emergency power systems. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Thorough knowledge of electrical theory and electrical systems. Ability to read electrical diagrams and blueprints. Ability to safely perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs. Strong knowledge of NEC requirements. Ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergencies.
