Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a defined group of adolescent patients using the nursing process and established standards.
- Assess, document, and monitor patient conditions; develop and implement a plan of care; coordinate care with the treatment team.
- Administer medications and treatments per policy; monitor for adverse effects; respond to crises with appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, and multidisciplinary team members; supervise and direct nursing staff as assigned; ensure a safe, healing environment.
- Support discharge planning, patient and family education, and continuity of care; participate in transition planning and follow-up as appropriate.
- Work across two behavioral health units, partnering with Mental Health Technicians; participate in call coverage as needed.

Requirements
- California Registered Nurse (RN) license, active
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider
- Relevant certifications: Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A; ACLS and PALS (AHA or ARC) required
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- 2+ years of recent experience in behavioral health inpatient or acute care settings
- Ability to work in an inpatient short-term acute care environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
